We've got some catchin' up to do!

So... Lotso things happening in the Meliverse as of late. An exciting one is: I'm buying a new car!!! This is a biggie cause it's my very first new car and its pretty cool. I won't get it until the end of this month. Check it out: Kia Sportage 2011

Also, the beach house is coming along. The first floor of the main house is all set and the tower is done up to the second floor. My mom and I have been going around places looking for tile for the bathrooms which is pretty fun! ^_^

Exciting news!

My family's beach house is under construction finally!! This has been a project that has gone wayside too many times and it is finally becoming a reality!
These are some renderings someone did from the architect's blueprints. It's pretty cool we can see what it will look once it's done.
My mom's love for the Mediterranean coast is what inspired this design and she wants all hues and tones of blue to decorate. So in order to help out a bit I'll be posting findings along those lines. Happy hunting to me!

So...

I got the permanent position at work. Which I'm happy about... but awkward about it too...
This means I'm here for good. There's a sense of permanence in saying yes I take the job right?
But I'm happy to report that things are looking up. I'm finally getting adjusted to the schedule, the after-hours, the commute still sucks but there are perks... like new friends that do a heart good.


Getting tons of experience, that's for sure. I even got a full page published in the newspaper! Which was very very exciting! I'll post the page once I scan it.

Red and Turquoise!

I have not been a fan of red through the years but here I am loving this color combo. Red with some turquoise or teal with red, definitely a little pop of these colors against each other livens me up. :)
